We usually start around 1:00 p.m., giving you time in the morning to arrive in Cusco, rest, drink coca or muña tea and begin acclimatizing to the altitude. 13:00 Pick-Up & Start of the Cusco City Tour

Around 1:00 p.m., we pick you up from your hotel in Cusco to begin your Cusco City Tour & 4 Nearby Inca Ruins.
If you arrived in Cusco the same morning, we recommend:

Taking the morning to rest and move slowly,
Drinking plenty of water, and
Trying muña or coca tea to support acclimatization.

Your guide will give you a short briefing about the tour, altitude recommendations and the sites you are about to visit.

Coricancha – Temple of the Sun

Your first stop is Coricancha, the Temple of the Sun, considered one of the most sacred places in the entire Inca Empire. Here you will see:

• Beautiful stone temples built with precisely fitted blocks, without mortar.
• Fine examples of Inca architecture integrated into the later colonial construction.
• Explanations about Inca religion, astronomy and the importance of this ceremonial center.

Cusco Cathedral – Andean & Catholic Syncretism

Next, you visit the Cathedral of Cusco, on the Plaza de Armas. Inside, you can appreciate:

Sacsayhuaman – Megalithic Inca Fortress

Leaving the historic center, you drive about 10 minutes outside Cusco to reach Sacsayhuaman, one of the most impressive Inca sites in the region.
Here you will see:

Massive stone walls with blocks weighing up to 120 tons,
Terraces and platforms aligned with perfect precision, and
Wide views over Cusco and the surrounding landscape.

According to many historians, Sacsayhuaman may have been a ceremonial complex dedicated to lightning and other deities, as well as an important defensive structure. Your guide gives you free time to walk, explore and take photos.

Qenqo – Ceremonial Labyrinth

A short drive away is Qenqo, a smaller but fascinating site known for its carved rock formations, underground passages and ceremonial table traditionally associated with rituals and mummification of Inca nobility.

Puka Pukara – Red Fortress

Tambomachay – Inca Baths & Highest Point
