Giving Back to the Trails

Environmental Commitment in the Andes

Huchuy Qosqo Trek Cleaning Campain

At 6:00 a.m., we left Cusco heading toward Tambomachay (the Inca Baths)—the starting point of a walk that would be about much more than hiking.
A team of 10 dedicated people, including chefs, guides, porters, and office staff, came together with a single purpose: to protect the land that gives meaning to our journeys.

Our Environmental Promise in the Andes

Protect the environment
Respect local communities
Deliver a once-in-a-lifetime experience in Peru
Ensure Machu Picchu and its trails remain beautiful for future generations
Huchuy Qosqo Trek Cleaning Campain It was a long day collecting garbage and more garbage from the roads, from the banks of the lakes, even from some small villages on the route. Committed to Our environmental responsability, our goal is to leave the roads better than we have found. Every year we carry out cleaning of different hiking routes and we will continue doing it. None of this would be possible without the support of our clients who rely on our team to make their trips and excursions to Machu Picchu. Our commitment to them is to organize a once in a lifetime experience.

Cleaning Hiking Trails in Peru

What followed was a long and demanding day.
We collected garbage from roads, lake shores, and even small villages along the route. Plastic bottles, food wrappers, forgotten waste—remnants left behind in places that should remain untouched.
Each bag we filled was a reminder of why this work matters.
Our goal is simple but powerful:
To leave the trails better than we found them.

Responsible Tourism in Peru Beyond Words

For us, environmental responsibility is not a slogan—it’s an action.
Every year, we organize clean-up initiatives on different trekking routes, especially those leading to Machu Picchu and surrounding Andean landscapes. These are the same paths our guests walk, the same valleys our porters call home, and the same mountains that have protected Andean culture for centuries.
We believe that true travel should give back.

Sustainable Trekking to Machu Picchu Supported by Our Travelers

None of this would be possible without the support of our clients.
When travelers choose to explore Peru with us, they are not just booking a tour—they are supporting conservation, local communities, and ethical tourism practices. Every journey helps fund these initiatives and empowers our team to protect the places we love.
