Day 1 is the main hiking day of the Huchuy Qosqo trek. First, we start near Chinchero and hike through highland landscapes toward Pumapunco or Pumamarca. Then, we reach Huchuy Qosqo for a guided visit, dinner, and overnight camping above the Sacred Valley.

We pick you up from your Cusco hotel at 6:00 a.m. and drive about 45 minutes to Umasbamba near Chinchero. After a brief orientation, we enjoy a light breakfast. Then, we begin trekking along quiet Andean scenery and rural paths.

After around 4.5 hours, we stop for a picnic lunch near Pumapunco canyon or Pumamarca, depending on conditions. Afterwards, we continue about 1.5 hours to Huchuy Qosqo. Finally, our guide leads an archaeological visit before we settle into camp for sunset views, dinner, and an unforgettable night camping at Huchuy Qosqo.

Next, continue to Calca to visit the Parobamba Textile Center and meet master weavers. Afterwards, explore the Unu Urqo ecological site and the Inkarri Museum, with entrances included.

Following this, enjoy a buffet lunch in Urubamba. Later, tour the Ollantaytambo archaeological site and the historic town. In the evening, take the train to Aguas Calientes. Finally, check in to a 3-star hotel and enjoy dinner at Indio Feliz, coordinated by your guide. Optional hot springs are available, with entrance not included.
